Vignettes and tolls
In Austria, Switzerland, Slovenia and Czechia, among others, you need a vignette for the motorways, while many other countries charge distance-based tolls. Ask the rental company whether the car already has a vignette, as this isn't automatically the case for cars registered in Germany.
