Support & help
What's the difference between a bridal car and a wedding car?

Often they're the same car. Bridal car puts the focus on the bride's journey, for example with her father or maid of honour to the ceremony, and on her arrival. Afterwards the couple often continue together in the same car.

Which car is best for a wedding dress with a train?

Large saloons with rear doors and plenty of legroom are the most comfortable, for example a Rolls-Royce or a Mercedes S-Class. Two-door coupés, sports cars and small classic cars tend to be cramped. If in doubt, ask for photos of the rear seats or view the car beforehand.

Can I book the bridal car with a driver?

Some rental companies offer their bridal car with a chauffeur, and for valuable cars it is sometimes even mandatory. Whether a driver is available is shown in the offer or can be clarified in your request. That way the bride can focus entirely on her big entrance.

Can the bridal car be decorated?

Yes, by arrangement with the rental company. Flowers and ribbons with magnetic or suction-cup holders that protect the paintwork are standard. Tape and wire are usually off-limits because they can damage the paint or seals.

How early should I reserve a bridal car?

During the wedding season from spring to late summer, ideally several months ahead, especially for Saturdays. For winter dates or weekdays, less notice is often enough. The earlier you send your request, the bigger the choice.

Guide

Timing, waiting time and air conditioning

Plan the bride's journey with a buffer: pick-up, photo stops and waiting in front of the church all add up. Check with the rental company whether waiting time is included in the price. In summer, air conditioning is a real asset to keep make-up and hair in place. Classic cars usually don't have it.

Room for the dress: choosing the right car

A full dress with a train needs space. Large saloons with rear doors and a flat back seat are usually the most comfortable choice, whereas two-door coupés and some classic cars such as the Pagoda are tight. If possible, view the car beforehand or ask for photos of the interior. Clean, light-coloured seats are also kinder to the dress.

Getting in and out without stress

When the bride steps out in front of the church or registry office, all eyes are on her, and the camera is usually rolling. A slightly higher seating position makes this much easier than a low sports seat. A driver who opens the door and helps with the dress takes a lot of pressure off the moment. If there's time, have a quick practice run.
