Typical places are your home, hotel, office, a train station or an airport. What matters is that the address is within the rental company's delivery radius and the car can be handed over safely there. Special requests are best clarified directly in your request.
Does the rental company also collect the car?
With delivery and collection, usually yes. Whether delivery and collection have to take place at the same address is up to the rental company. It's best to agree the place and time of the return when you book.
Do I have to be there for the delivery?
Normally, yes. At handover the rental company checks your driving licence and ID and completes a handover report with you. A handover without you is only possible if the rental company explicitly offers it.
How short-notice can a delivery be?
That depends on the rental company's schedule. The earlier you send your request, the more likely your preferred time will work. For same-day delivery, it's best to ask directly whether someone is available.
Are vans available with delivery too?
Yes, some rental companies also deliver vans or minibuses, for example for a move or a group trip. The delivery and collection filter shows you which types of vehicle can be delivered near you.

What does delivery cost?
Each rental company sets its own fee, usually per journey and depending on the distance. Every car also has its own delivery radius. You'll see the amount in the offer before you send a request. Feel free to compare with a car close to you: sometimes the short trip to the rental company is cheaper.
Delivery to the station, airport or hotel
Many people use delivery when they arrive by train or plane. For addresses like these, give an exact meeting point, such as a car park or a specific exit, and a phone number where you can be reached. If you're delayed, let the rental company know as early as possible. Parking fees may also apply at airports.
Prepare for handover and return
Have your driving licence and ID ready and take your time walking around the car. Photograph scratches and dents and check the fuel level. For the collection, the car should be parked somewhere easy to reach, and you should have agreed beforehand how the key will be handed over.
