Rights confirmation for Shorts

I confirm that I hold all rights to this Short (image, video, sound and music), including for advertising and social media, that all recognisable people have agreed to its publication including for advertising purposes, that no other people's licence plates, contact details or prices can be seen and that the Short complies with the Shorts rules. Rentlo may use the Short free of charge and without time limit, edit it (for example crop, shorten, subtitle) and show it on Rentlo, on its own website and app, in the newsletter, on social media and for paid advertising and ads (terms for rental companies, no. 6).

What this confirmation applies to

You confirm this text with a tick in the Shorts Studio before you publish a Short. We store the version (above), the time, the Short and your account. The confirmation applies to the published Short and to every later edit that you publish again.

What "all rights" means

• Image and video: You took the recordings yourself or acquired a right to use them for advertising (for example from a photographer or an agency).
• Music and sound: You may only use music if you have a licence for use in online videos and advertising. If in doubt, upload the Short without music.
• People: Every recognisable person has agreed to the publication. You only show people under 18 with their parents' consent.
• Other vehicles and places: Licence plates of other vehicles are not readable. You only film private property with permission.
• Brands: You only show third-party logos and brands as they appear on the vehicle itself.

What Rentlo does with the Short

Rentlo checks every Short before publication, converts it into the necessary formats, removes metadata such as location data and shows it in the Shorts feed, on your profile and on the page of the linked vehicle. Rentlo may also crop, shorten and subtitle the Short, convert it into other formats and show it on its own website and app, in the newsletter, on social media (for example Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and in advertising and paid ads to promote your offer and the platform. This right of use is simple, free of charge, unlimited in territory and time, transferable and sub-licensable as far as necessary for this use. Advertising materials already created may continue to be used after the Short is deleted. The exact rules are set out in § 16 and § 17 of the terms of use, no. 6 of the terms for rental companies and the Shorts rules.

If something changes

If it turns out that rights are missing, delete the Short or let us know at info@rentlo.de. If Rentlo receives a justified notice of an infringement, we remove the Short and inform you with a statement of reasons.
