Stag and hen party car hire in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

A minibus is practical for the group, while a stretch limousine with a driver makes the big entrance. If you like to stand out, choose a convertible or American car for photos and short trips. What matters most is the number of seats, your budget and who will drive.

That's up to the rental company. Many prohibit open drinks in the car, while with chauffeur-driven stretch limousines a glass of bubbly is sometimes explicitly allowed. One thing is clear: whoever drives stays sober, so plan a designated driver or a chauffeur.

No, as long as the minibus has no more than eight seats plus the driver's seat and a maximum permissible weight of 3.5 tonnes, a category B licence is enough. However, many rental companies require a higher minimum age or several years of driving experience for minibuses. The conditions are listed with every offer.

For heavy soiling, rental companies usually charge a cleaning fee, and smoking in the car can be expensive on top. The costs are often offset against the deposit. Take photos at pick-up and return and bring the car back in a decent state.

Stag and hen dos often take place at weekends from spring to late summer, when minibuses and stretch limos are in demand. It's best to send your request a few weeks ahead. Check the cancellation terms in case the size of the group changes.
