Yes, from rental companies that allow other deposit types. This page shows cars with a cash deposit at pick-up. Depending on the car, PayPal, bank transfer or even rental without a deposit are also possible, and the deposit type filter shows you which.
When do I get the cash deposit back?
Usually on return, after the rental company has inspected the car. If damage or outstanding costs are found, part of it may be withheld. Clarify in advance how repayment works if you return the car outside opening hours.
How high is the cash deposit?
The rental company sets the amount for each car, and it's stated in the listing. For small cars it's usually lower than for sports cars or SUVs. Bring the exact amount to pick-up if possible.
Do I need a receipt for the deposit?
Absolutely. A written receipt showing the amount, date and signature is your proof that you paid the deposit. Keep it until the deposit has been repaid in full.
Can I pay the rental price in cash too?
On Rentlo you usually pay the rental price online, for example by PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna or card. On this page, cash payment refers to the deposit at pick-up.
What happens if damage is found on return?
Then the rental company can offset the costs against the deposit. Photos and the handover report help you fend off unjustified claims. With a protection package, you lower the excess from the outset.

Returning outside opening hours
If you return the car in the evening or at the weekend, the rental company may not be on site to inspect it and pay you back in cash. So clarify beforehand when and how you'll get your deposit back, for example in cash at a later appointment or by bank transfer.
How the cash deposit works
Once your request is confirmed, you pay the deposit in cash to the rental company at pick-up. On return, the rental company inspects the car, and if everything is in order, you get the deposit back. If there's damage, extra kilometres or an empty tank, part of it may be withheld. The app shows the process in three steps: accepted, paid, released.
Receipt and handover report
Always ask for a written receipt for a deposit paid in cash, showing the amount, date and signature. Photograph the car at pick-up and return and have any existing damage noted in the handover report. That way you can prove later in what condition you took over and returned the car.
