Yes, for cars where the rental company accepts PayPal for the deposit. You can also pay the rental price on Rentlo via PayPal. Still, check which documents the rental company wants to see at pick-up.
When is the PayPal deposit released?
After you've returned the car and the rental company has inspected it. The app shows you when the deposit has been released. Depending on the funding source, it can take a little while until the money is available again.
Can I pay only the rental price via PayPal?
Yes. On Rentlo you can pay the rental price via PayPal, among other methods, even if the deposit is paid another way, for example by card, bank transfer or in cash at pick-up. This page shows the cars where both are possible via PayPal.
What happens to the PayPal deposit if there's damage?
The rental company can offset costs for damage, extra kilometres or missing fuel against the deposit. Photos and the handover report help you if you disagree with a charge. With a protection package, you lower the excess.
Which other payment methods does Rentlo offer?
You can pay the rental price with Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Klarna or card, among others. For the deposit, each rental company offers its own options, for example online by card, PayPal or bank transfer, or at pick-up.
Is PayPal safe for paying for a rental?

Advantages over credit card and cash
With PayPal you don't need a credit card and don't have to bring cash to pick-up. Payment runs online, and you can keep track of all bookings in your PayPal account. Make sure your account is verified and the linked funding source has sufficient funds.
When the deposit comes back
The deposit is released after the rental company has inspected the car. Depending on the payment route, it can take a little while until the money is available again in your PayPal account or funding source. Ask the rental company if you still don't see the release after a few days.
