In the app, a monthly rental covers 28 days. For longer periods, you can rent several months in a row or agree an extension with the rental company.
Is a monthly rental cheaper than leasing?
Per month, leasing is often cheaper, but it usually ties you in for two to four years and sometimes requires a down payment. A monthly rental is more flexible: you only rent for as long as you need the car. For periods of a few months, it's therefore often the better choice.
Who takes care of servicing and tyres?
Usually the rental company. If a service or tyre change is due, you arrange an appointment with them. It's best to clarify how this works in your case before booking.
How many kilometres are included in a monthly rental?
The mileage allowance is stated in the offer and varies between rental companies. If you commute daily, work out your needs beforehand. For high mileage, some rental companies offer mileage packages or unlimited kilometres.
Can I extend a monthly rental?
Often, yes, if the vehicle isn't booked elsewhere afterwards. Contact the rental company in good time before the 28 days are up and have the extension confirmed. That way you avoid expensive extra days.
Can I rent a car monthly without a credit card?
That's possible depending on the vehicle. Many rental companies also accept PayPal, bank transfer or cash at pick-up for the deposit, and some offer vehicles with no deposit at all. Use the deposit type filter in the app.

Monthly rental on Rentlo: 28 days
In the app, the monthly rate appears as its own price tile for 28 days, i.e. exactly four weeks. The price per day is usually well below the normal daily rate. If you need the car for a calendar month with 30 or 31 days, factor in the extra days or talk to the rental company directly.
Plan your mileage allowance realistically
Monthly rentals usually come with a fixed mileage allowance for the whole period. Estimate your needs honestly: commuting distance times working days plus weekend trips. Extra kilometres can quickly add up over a month, so a bigger package is often cheaper.
What's included in the price?
Servicing and tyres are usually covered by the rental company; you pay for fuel or electricity yourself. Check which excess applies and whether a protection package makes sense. For rentals in autumn and winter, ask about winter tyres: Germany has a situational winter tyre requirement.
