Support & help
Will I get an invoice in my company's name?

Yes. You sign the rental agreement with the rental company, and it issues the invoice. Enter your company name and billing address in your request. To reclaim input tax, VAT should be shown separately, so check the invoice when you receive it.

Can several employees drive the same vehicle?

Yes, if they are all registered as drivers and meet the rental company's requirements. Additional drivers are usually charged per day. Register all drivers when booking so there are no gaps in cover if there's damage.

Are there framework agreements or corporate rates?

Rentlo arranges rentals directly with the rental company; framework agreements are not automatically included. If you have regular needs, you can contact the rental company directly. Each company decides for itself whether it offers special terms.

Can I rent several vans at the same time?

Yes, you can send a separate request for each vehicle, even with different rental companies. For larger jobs, send your requests early so enough vehicles are available on the same date. Each driver needs the right licence.

Is long-term rental worthwhile instead of a company car?

For fixed-term projects or uncertain needs, often yes, because you don't tie up capital and stay flexible. For permanent needs over several years, leasing or buying is usually cheaper. Work through both options with your accounts team.

What is Rentlo?

Rentlo is a marketplace for all kinds of rental vehicles in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You rent directly from verified local rental companies.

How does renting in Germany, Austria and Switzerland work?

Choose a vehicle, pick your dates and send a request. Once the rental company confirms, you pay securely online and collect the car or have it delivered.

When do I pay?

Only once the rental company has confirmed your request. Payment runs via Stripe.

Which payment methods are available?

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut Pay, iDEAL and Klarna. For some vehicles you can pay 10 % online and the rest in cash at pick-up.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

The rental company decides per vehicle. Many deposits can be paid online; otherwise on site.

Show all 15 questions
How old do I need to be?

Minimum age and licence duration are shown on each vehicle.

How is the vehicle insured?

Vehicles are insured by the rental company, which sets cover and excess.

What is the best price guarantee?

Rental companies offer their vehicles on Rentlo at the same price as directly. Found it cheaper? Let us know.

Can I cancel?

Before confirmation you can withdraw for free. After that the rental company's cancellation terms apply.

Is there a Rentlo app?

Yes, for iPhone and Android, including Rentlo Shorts with real videos and sound.

Guide

Long-term rental instead of a pool car

For projects, new employees or the wait for a company car, the 28-day monthly rental is a flexible solution. You don't tie up capital and you return the vehicle when the need ends. If your needs recur, you can talk to the rental company directly. Whether it offers special terms is up to the company.

Invoices and VAT

Enter your full company name and billing address in your request so the rental company issues the invoice correctly. Make sure VAT is shown separately if your company can reclaim input tax. Rental costs for business journeys are generally business expenses, but check the details with your tax adviser.

Registering several drivers

If several employees will drive, each person must be registered as a driver and meet the rental company's requirements, such as minimum age and years of holding a licence. Additional drivers are usually charged per day. If someone who isn't registered drives, the cover under the rental agreement may not apply in the event of damage, which can be expensive.
